Life and Miles

Welcome to “Life and Miles”!  I’m glad you’re here and hope you will drop in on a regular basis.  It’s a friendly site where I will be sharing thoughts, ideas, opinions and stories.  I hope you’ll see fit to visit often and spend a few minutes just hanging out with me.

I write about various topics, including life experiences as well as matters of faith, family, running, leadership and pretty much anything else that comes to mind. I won’t have much to say about controversial topics and will generally try not to share my political views.  However, my life is lived with the purpose of honoring Jesus Christ, and it is my prayer that all I write will ultimately serve that purpose.

I have been influenced over the years by several authors, including Earl Hamner Jr., George Sheehan, Lawrence Conwill and a few others. I would be honored if my writing in any small way reflected the skill and style of these writers.  I enjoy studying the Scriptures, and reading books on biblical topics, leadership, and history, as well as biographies and a fair amount of fiction.  I say that to warn you that all these types of reading will have some impact on the things I write here and elsewhere.
